Into Norway

Day three started very early but easily, with a gentle drive up to Hirtshals at the top of Denmark and a boat ride into Norway during which we could plot the options for the next few days – suffice to say they were plentiful.

Again, we were waved straight through customs on arrival (the Tinker Beast is clearly a crowd pleaser, and having forgotten to check the limits on alcohol imports this may have been a good thing).

Feeling we were now at the real ‘starting line’, we decided to limit ourselves to choosing a nice spot to lay our heads and start exploring fresh the next day. We found that spot about 75km outside Kristiansand, down a gravel track into the woods. Perfect.
