North to Oddadal

After a lazy, sunny start, we left our little island and hopped on boat one of the day, Hjelmland to Nesvik. Shortly after we enjoyed a second ride across yet another fjord – much nicer than on the North Sea!

The weather was incredible – blue skies all day – and the scenery equally impressive.

The Beast was happy when Sam worked out that the snorkel was leaving her rather thirsty. Once detached she romped up the next couple of mountain passes and we made good progress northward.

The sun still shining, we decided to call it a day when we came across a campsite in Lofthus, surrounded by apple orchards overlooking the water. Bliss.

Fantastic Sam, I’m really pleased you’re off on your travels at long last. I will be reading with great interest over the next year.
